MATERIALS OF STAINLESS STEEL, BLACKENED STEEL AND PLASTER WERE USED FOR THE NEW FIREPLACE AND WALLS IN THE RENOVATED LIVING SPACE WHILE THE CUSTOM BUILT IN BOOK-SHELF IS MADE FROM ANIGRE WOOD.

THE UPPER SITTING AREA OFF THE MASTER BEDROOM OVERLOOKS THE LIVING SPACE BELOW AND THE NEW ADDITION TO THE SIDE LETTING LIGHT IN FROM ALL DIRECTIONS. THE BEDROOM ADDITION WAS DESIGNED AS AN ARM OF LIVING SPACE REACHING ACROSS THE CONTOURS OF THE SITE TO OVERLOOK THE POOL AND CABANA AREAS.

THE KITCHEN REMODEL INCLUDED A LARGE WINDOW WALL TO LOOK BACK ONTO THE LANDSCAPED HILLSIDE AND BRING MORNING AND AFTERNOON DAYLIGHT INTO THE INTERIORS OF THE HOUSE.

THE EXISTING ROOF WAS SLICED FROM EAVE TO EAVE IN A LONG LINEAR RIBBON OF GLASS SO THE COLORS OF THE DAY WOULDBE REFLECTED INSIDE. THE CLOUDS AND EVER CHANGING SKY CAN BE VISIBLE THROUGHOUT THE LIVING AND UPPER LOFT AREAS

THIS WAS A PROJECT DESIGNED TO OPEN THE VIEWS AND BRING NATURAL LIGHT DEEP INTO THE SPACES AND TO ANIMATE THE LIVING AREAS WHILE PROVIDING PROVIDE MULTIPLE LIVING AND RECREATIONAL USES BOTH INDOORS AND OUT FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN.
